ABOUT BAND-O-RAMA

The Marietta High School "Band-O-Rama" marching competition is the longest-running marching contest in the state of Ohio, and occurs in late September-early October each year. Founded in 1961, the Band-O-Rama has served as an educational and rewarding competition for thousands of students and spectators alike.

Originally featuring a parade contest throughout the afternoon leading to an evening field competition, the show has evolved over time to feature numerous bands in the morning. The event is held at Marietta College’s Don Drumm Stadium in downtown Marietta, and hosts bands that are adjudicated by verified OMEA Adjudicators and uses the complete OMEA Adjudication scoring system.
